TUAM PARISH GALWAY
Tithe Applotments 15th April1831
With many
thanks to Dave Blair
Tithe
Applotments of Ireland were carried out between 1823 and 1838. These tithes were
collected for the Church of Ireland (Protestant) from most landholders, no
matter of their religion. They were collected in each civil parish and listed by
townlands and householder. It has proven to be a great census substitute for the
period.
